| New design; Pullman article |
[Nov. 5th, 2004|07:05 pm] |
Once again, the site has been given a simpler, hopefully more accessible, design. Let me know what you think.
Apart from that, I've uploaded an article on Philip Pullman, which is located here.
Meanwhile, click here to read what I think of Silver Sun's new album, Disappear Here.

| Back online |
[Aug. 14th, 2004|04:48 pm] |
After a brief period of down-time, the site's back online, along with some new content.
Unfortunately, I'm still sorting out the photos, so they've been temporarily removed.
Please let me know what you think. xx |

| The Owl issue #4 |
[Mar. 10th, 2004|09:55 pm] |
The fourth issue of The Owl Journal has now been released, containing a typically varied and enlightening range of articles.
To coincide with the new issue, a re-vamped website has now been launched at www.theowljournal.com, where you can sample all issues of the journal at your leisure.
Ignore the references to Oxford University - this journal is potentially of interest to anybody. |

| Article in The Owl Journal |
[Dec. 22nd, 2003|07:10 pm] |
An article by me, entitled 'The Poison Heart of Autobiography', is now available here. It was originally published in the third issue of The Owl Journal.
The entire issue is well worth a read, its basic aim being to educate intelligent but uninformed readers about a variety of issues and topics they may not have encountered before. |

| Keystone: an irregular poetry magazine |
[Nov. 27th, 2003|01:42 pm] |
The editor of Keystone magazine writes:
"Keystone is a new poetry magazine now in its fourth issue. Staunchly eclectic, we aim to publish work by young and/or unknown writers alongside that of better known names. We have no political or social agenda and do not subscribe to any one school of writing.
"We accept poetry, prose, reviews, essays and translations. Submissions are welcome from abroad."

| Robin Black review |
[Nov. 27th, 2003|01:40 pm] |
My review of the Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars album, 'Planet: Fame', can be found here.
The more I listen to this record, the more I enjoy it - I'd place it alongside Andrew WK's 'I Get Wet' and Silver Ginger 5's 'Black Leather Mojo' as perfect music for getting drunk before a night out. |

| Introduction to the new site |
[Oct. 20th, 2003|11:06 am] |
After a lot of messing around with the All-Purpose Mushrooms website, I've decided to strip things down a lot and just concentrate on stuff which I'm already involved with rather than trying to launch any new projects.
You can use the links to the left to reach various articles by me, available either on this website or elsewhere on the internet. I'd love to hear your thoughts on anything that you read. |
